No movement

Unfortunately I haven't really started training for the walk yet. I want to but the weather has been just too cold to go for neighborhood walks. There is always the mall but considering you can cover the entire mall in less than 10 minutes, I would have to walk it at least 10 times to get any real practice in and that would be mind numbingly boring. Not to mention I have a 1 year old who wouldn't appreciate my brisk pace while sitting in his stroller. For now I just have to wait until the weather breaks.

In other news, I am 65% of the way to my donation goal! I can't believe how generous and supportive people have been, it really warms my heart. I can't wait to make them proud and complete this journey.

I am thinking of ways to honor the people that have donated to my cause. So far I have writing their names on one of the t-shirts I will wear on the walk but other than that... I have nothing. Does anyone have any better ideas?

  1. eh, my feeling is that you're walking to honor your mom and we're helping you out. so i couldn't care less about you honoring us. know what i mean? doing the walk is what counts. that being said, if i were you i'd probably be asking the same thing. lol names on the shirts is a nice easy way to go. :)

  2. it would probably be hard to do while walking, but maybe writing peoples names on the pavement with chalk & taking pics of that?
and on a side note- the title of this post made me think that you were pregnant! :)

  4. I just looked at your totals >> and you are 76% there!!! WAY TO GO!!! :)

Let's see. I think it would be great if you just had everyone's name tattooed on your arms. You know ... font size 80?

I'm totally kidding. As someone wrote above, you are doing this FOR YOUR MOM. I wouldn't worry for a moment about 'honoring' any one other than the woman who brought you in to this world. This is all about her and you. No one else.

I'm so glad that you have a walking buddy. This will be an awesome experience for you both!!
